About Little Scottie
Creators
Scott Winer and
Todd Pickrell developed the idea for "Little Scottie" after a dinner at Zio's in Olathe, Kansas. While waiting for their food, Todd drew a series of Crayon cartoons on the paper tablecloth, depicting Scott at different stages of life--infancy, childhood and present day. Each drawing included the glasses and goatee he was sporting at the time.
From those, the illustration of Scott as a potbellied child with an ill-fitting shirt stood out as the funniest. Within a month, the comic was up and running.
