I think this is pretty self-explanatory. Personally, I think The Tonight Show died in 1992. It was never the same show with Jay Leno. There were some elements of what Conan did that were more similar to Johnny Carson's show, but neither host has come close to capturing what first made The Tonight Show great. With Leno coming back, it simply can't be considered in the same vein as Johnny's show.

UPDATE: Knowing now that Conan is getting $32 million to leave the show, it's hard to feel too bad for him. He was never the right guy for the job.
