In recent months Lawrence, Kansas, has become the primary battleground in the attempt to crackdown on the sale and use of the legal "marijuana-like substance" K2. Amid efforts by the Kansas Legislature to make the drug illegal, a store in Downtown Lawrence was raided last week by the FDA and area law enforcement, confiscating its entire inventory of K2. The result has been a mixture of anger, confusion and accusation about how and why federal officials targeted the store for selling a product that remains legal.
